Thanx,,

Last pet I snatched, was the Crimsonwing Moth, which was probably what propelled me up the ladder.
It was only a common one, but stones are abundant, after MoP..

Congrats! Don't stop there!

I can't find a crimsonwing to save my life, I downloaded the TomTom addon, did realm hopping at each waypoint discussed on this forum... nothing. Found the sapphire firefly on my own in 5 minutes but this moth hates me, lol.

I had added all (known) TomTom coordinates (from Wowhead) for both pets..

Sapphire took 3 rounds and it was even a rare.
Crimson was more random, as I had already done 3-4 rounds, but I was going for Talador-trainer and thought "I'll just take a look at this coordinate in the SW corner, now I'm here anyway... Bingo: White crimson..
I had originally planned to wait until I could fly, but you don't let a chance like this pass you by..

According to Blizzard, there will ALWAYS be a Sapphire and Crimson up at all times, so just hunt hunt hunt...

Talador is worse than Spires of Arak, as there are 2-3 times as many spawn points.. But it IS out there...

I'm a believer in the theory that the Crimsonwing takes the place of a random pet spawn, so if that's the case there's no point in using coordinates.

Best way to look for it is to pick a relatively quiet time and crisscross the zone via flight paths and Aviana's feather. Once you've surveyed the central part of the map, manually ride around the perimeter of the zone. I ended up finding mine up by where the Death to Amethon quest takes place, up on the side of the hill, among some other moths.

Both my Spahhire and Crimson were EXACTLY on a reported coordinate dot.. Small sample, yes.. But it does strengthen the claim, that they have fixed spawn points.

Also, the spots on Wowhead seems to be phased, as pets disappear (on the minimap) when you are approaching, only to reappear 1-2 seconds later..I have not seen this behaviour elsewhere..

Ditto here, got the Sapphire on my first pass through the zone with that pet in mind, got my Crimson on probably 5 or 6th pass - BOTH exactly on a listed "known" spawn point.

I feel lucky to have found both of these pets rather quickly. 5 minutes of searching for each.
Congrats on your achiev, though
