Happy Hallow's End!
A reminder for collectors. Self-repost from EU forums.
It isn't a guide yet so it's here atm!
Surely the undead creatures have already dominated PvP,
but since this Sunday they might invade whole Azeroth and more.
The Hallow's End shall begin causing spooky things to happen
and revealing ghastly beings, including our beloved companions!
[pet]Sinister Squashling[/pet] (Elemental, cageable) can come from the Headless Horseman,
both from the Loot-Filled Pumpkin at the Scarlet Monastery
and Crudely Wrapped Gift gotten after the village event.
Can also appear within Handful of Treats.
You can spend 150 Tricky Treats on it too but it seems to be redundant.
Over these years there are already quite a lot of them and you can buy one @ AH,
but keep in mind that you need to use an original item (not caged pet) during the event
to fulfill a criterium for Sinister Calling achievement.
[pet]Creepy Crate[/pet] (Undead, not cageable, uncommon) is needed to be found by you during the special quest chain.
When it hangs out with you, it devours critters using its mysterious powers.
Nobody knows what happens if an Unborn Val'kyr decides to save the victims…
[pet]Feline Familiar[/pet] (Beast, cageable) can be purchased from the event vendors for 150 treats.
It's probably the most iconic pet of this event because of its witch hat and floating broom.
It does account towards your Crazy for Cats achievement.
[pet]Cursed Birman[/pet] (Undead, cageable) can be purchased from the event vendors for 150 treats.
Looks like a Mr. Bigglesworth's relative – maybe it might take away his Naxxtraumas?
Otherwise, he can still bring quite a nice amount of gold as he's been on live (what?) for just one year.
Being an undead with beast attacks, he can take revenge on normally advantageous critters.
Sadly it doesn't account towards CfC.
[pet]Widget the Departed[/pet] (Undead, cageable) can be purchased from the event vendors for 150 treats.
Like the previous undead kitty, it's been brought here in 2014. It can surprise critters too.
In the German client it's called Schrödinger's Cat. If only it had 50% chance to start an encounter with dodge… Or like another poster pointed out, start either as a Beast or as an Undead.
Sadly it doesn't account towards CfC either. And does.
[pet]Ghastly Rat[/pet] (Undead, not cageable) came from the 6.2.2 patch notes without any complementary item.
A Warcraft Pets poster @Squeeky called some days ago that they are battled at the garrison when the Creepy Crawlers are used.
Has some advantages of Blighted Squirrels with both Crouch and Rabid Strike.
"By far the best way to spread the plague of undeath."
[pet]Ghost Maggot[/pet] (Undead, not cageable) is from that 6.2.2 patch note too.
An undead with Survival can have 3 rounds of ease regardless on its speed!
"If a live maggot eats the dead, what does an undead maggot eat?"
[pet]Spectral Spinner[/pet] (Undead, not cageable) is also from that patch note.
He can get 325 speed so he might become a new PotQ. I'm not even going to post why for the security reasons.
"As if a mine full of non-ghost spiders wasn't scary enough."
To get all purchasable pets without a squashling you need 450 treats – it's a rounded amount of them to get on one character.
If you're looking for toys you can need another 300 Treats. Additional 600 for villain costumes with 50 charges, 160 for consumable (no pun intended) Perky clothes and 5 for an Ominous Pet Treat.
Good luck!

Re: Happy Hallow's End!
The new ghost pets are easy to find - just do the new event-dailys in your garrisson, and buy the decoration item. (read description) The pets will spawn in your garrisson and you can fight and catch them. You can invite friends to get them aswell. And they even respawn instant
Re: Happy Hallow's End!
Do pets keep wandering during the whole event or only several minutes after the start?
And my Light, an S/S Spectral Spinner does exist! Mwahahaha!

Re: Happy Hallow's End!
Which addon do you use to show breeds?
Re: Happy Hallow's End!
The website is being updated.
I also try to make use of the Wowhead's template for the caught pets but apparently it's wrong for the rat.
I have PetTracker, but autor doesn't update it and addon still has problems with the secret power nerf during wild battles.
Battle Pet BreedID is another popular addon.
I still wait for a H/x maggot, if this one exists. Otherwise probably P/B is a way?

Re: Happy Hallow's End!
I'm using Battle Pet BreedID but it's not being updated anymore and as you said most other addons aren't either.
Don't know what's going on but I'm really lost without an addon telling me the breed.

Re: Happy Hallow's End!
Regarding BattlePetBreed ID its also not updated for 6.2.2 so its not working with the new pet info aswell.
Also i actually managed to get a S/S Ghost Maggot but i have no clue what breed would be best, but how about the Ghastly Rat what breed would u guys recommend?

It depends.Emla wrote:Also i actually managed to get a S/S Ghost Maggot but i have no clue what breed would be best, but how about the Ghastly Rat what breed would u guys recommend?
For [ability]Flurry[/ability]/[ability]Rabid Strike[/ability]/[ability]Crouch[/ability], focus on speed, particularly on health.
For the other ones stay with power.

Try to import your catches here http://petsear.ch/PetsCasca wrote:Which addon do you use to show breeds?
Re: Happy Hallow's End!
Any recommendations for breed to aim for?
Re: Happy Hallow's End!
There must be some armory issues as it refuses to update itself even after restarting WoW. I can't see anything so.Flohsakk wrote:Try to import your catches here
I can't tell you anything beyond what I've already posted directly or indirectly. Sorry!Shingetsu wrote:Any recommendations for breed to aim for?
I even don't know who here is an oracle about this thing. ^^

Re: Happy Hallow's End!
Got 2 rare maggots, 1 rat and 1 spider. Already 25 lvl all. Don't sure, if I need to collect different breeds for them.
Re: Happy Hallow's End!
Seconded, may we get some advice from the experts?Shingetsu wrote:Any recommendations for breed to aim for?
Re: Happy Hallow's End!
Nice thing I've noticed with these new pets is they are killable outside of pet battles, so you can go through your garrison and just wipe out undesired breeds/rarities to force new spawns. The instant respawns are also very handy for leveling these guys up as you go.
Just trying to spawn that elusive SS Spectral Spinner now... he must be out there somewhere!

Re: Happy Hallow's End!
This was asked previously, but not answered. Do the pets only spawn for a period of time once you buy the decorations, or do they spawn for the remainder of the the event?

Re: Happy Hallow's End!
@ [profile]Kel[/profile] - I bought and used the item yesterday afternoon and the pets were still available to battle in my garrison when I logged on this morning. I assume they will at the very least remain throughout the holiday but it appears they may remain after the holiday as well (until you talk to the vendor and ask her to remove the decorations).
[url]http://www.wowhead.com/item=128664/creepy-crawlers[/url] has more details about the Creepy Crawlers item.
P.S. - For the others curious about breed info - it can be a little bit time consuming to tab in and out of WoW but you can use the breed/level sliders available on Warcraft Pets to check breeds until BattlePetBreed ID is repaired.

Re: Happy Hallow's End!
You can also have multiple decorations, one does not override another.
Re: Happy Hallow's End!
For those who haven't heard the good news yet: Battle Pet BreedID was finally updated yesterday with all the breeds for 6.2.2 pets. My (trainer) life has a meaning once again.
Re: Happy Hallow's End!
I am still on the hunt for the ghastly rat in blue quality. The spider and maggot were super quick to find in blue quality, but the rat is still teasing me.
