Re: Madja's 10th raffle - Easter edition [Any Region]
I am not sure if he is an easter egg, but I believe so, I believe he has a story at least. Courageous Yon. He is a Battle pet tamer in Pandaria. He lives in a tiny cave, way up in the mountains and he has been preparing for this battle all his life.
For very personal reasons I identify with Courageous Yon. I cried when I first came upon his little cave. He gives me feels, still every time I think of him. When I am feeling especially courageous I will stop and battle him. I like to think he is a real person or at least, a fictional character with a story. Not sure if this qualifies. But he is my own personal eater egg.

Wally and Tic Tak (The Carpenter) are my favourites http://imgur.com/MtHDycr
Alice in Wonderland is one of my favourite films. The 1951 version, not Tim Burton's 'reimagined' effort.
I have no idea when or where I first saw it but there are pictures of me at 5 years old self dressed as Alice for a costume party. Mum even used yellow hairspray on me. Even at that age I was cat obsessed and what is not to love about a pink and purple talking kitty who can disappear himself? Talking animals, singing flowers... there was a lot to capture my young mind. As I got older I started to understand things on a different level (bread and butterflies haha I see what you did there) and kinda got to experience the movie for the first time all over again.
These guys are found off the north coast of Kun-Lai Summit (43,17). There is a suspicious lack of oysters in the area....
I often pop by for a visit if I'm in the area. I'll sometimes use my Gokk'lok's Shell and wait to see if they come and try to eat me. They haven't. Yet.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=00WCEbKM_SE for those that don't know the Walrus and the Carpenter.
And whenever I pick up some Aquamarine ingame I get the 'Painting the Roses Red' stuck in my head.

I don't think this has been submitted yet so I'll do it.
Upstairs in the Stormwind barber shop you see two Gnome skeletons and a barber's shaving blade, a reference to Sweeney Todd.
The Gnome downstairs had a previous name closer to Johnny Depp's character from the movie but it had to be changed.

Just adding this post for a user who's having some problems with actually posting.
Klausv wrote:My entry: Nethaera's Light. Apparently it is an NPC
that has been added in memory of a wow forum community
moderator, according to a Wowhead comment. It has the added bonus of
giving you a pet. The NPC spawns in various locations in Dalaran.
I chose it because it awards a pet that is easy to get for everyone.
My screenshot shows both the NPC as well as my Nethaera's Light pet. I
couldn't get the nameplate for the NPC to show, for some reason.
I can enter the raffle if it is possible to collect the prize on an EU
trial account. My standard account is not active. It could take months
before I activate my standard account.
Thank you so much for the screenshot guide, I couldn't have managed this
without it.
Good luck everyone.

There is a character in the game named Jose Morgan. He can be found in Tanaris . While completing the quest Stoley's Shipment, you have to recover some stolen rum that was stolen by a pirate named Captain Cuervo which is likely a reference to the popular brands of alcohol, Jose Cuervo and Captain Morgan. Stoley's name is also similar in sounding to Stoli, a nickname for Stolichnaya Vodka.

(No need to add me to the raffle; I have the pet!) Here is my favorite Easter Egg, a tribute to Lonely George: Lon'li Guju. You can interact with him! If you /love, he'll follow you around. Cute and sad! The original Lonely George was a tortise and the last of this kind. Once he died irl, his ghost appeared in Pandaria. http://www.wowhead.com/npc=66658/lonli-guju

Alright everyone! The raffle is over and the roll has been performed
Today Paladance got the honour of rolling the dice and the winner is:
Kel!
Congratulations! I'll be in contact right away
Thanks all for entering! It was fun to see all those different easter eggs - a lot of them I didn't even know existed
The next raffle will be up tomorrow! It's a special day, so maybe you can already guess the theme of it..

Congratulations Kel.
Some of those Easter eggs were brilliant. Never knew about the lost reference for eg, and the UP house

Thanks everybody! I think he likes me! He was a B/B for those interested. And luckily I had a massive stack of humanoid stones from the menagerie, so he's already lvl25!
