Pets missing from pet journal

Has anyone experienced pets not showing up in the pet journal, as if you did not have them? I have two Zandalari Kneebiters and they do not show up in the pet journal, as collected. The pet name (even in not collected) is just not there. Same on multiple alts. However if I go to an alt on a different server, it appears in the pet journal. Any suggestions? Am I doing something stupid, lol?
I tried caging and releasing them, but it was no help.

Had you filtered them out somehow, via unchecking beasts or drops?

That sounds like an addon filtering issue. Have you tried turning off your addons or resetting all the filtering on them? Also make sure you haven't hidden any of them...
