The achievement seems to have no further information, but already has a reward assigned: Amalgam of Destruction! Will it be a pet, or maybe another challenge like Algalon?

Even though most of the move sets don't look too promising or interesting, I have to give a huge shoutout to blizz for the impressive and unique models of these new pets, they are just amazing IMO, some of these models I have been yearning for as battle pets. Just check View in 3D on wowdatabase.

So a lot of elementals, but that's probably not unexpected given the expansion. I've not looked at the models yet, but the icons look pretty exciting. Definitely some stuff we haven't seen in pet form before.

Now that we're doing Cataclysm in one fell swoop, we get to find out in the next iteration what they want to do with Pandaria... since ToT and Siege have a good number of pets already.

I was expecting far more dragons, but a powerful air elemental can win my heart.

Some names are worrifying. A wrong context, but that one from Dragon Soul should carry a disease that spreads onto nearby critters, resulting in a continent-wide critter annihilation and very busy Unborn Val'kyrs.

…nobody expected the Void and the Light adventuring together, after all.

I know Quintessence has a tweet about the items teaching the wrong pets.

This happened to me with the Elementium Back Plate - I got Surger instead of corrupted Blood. This was on 25N.

I plan to go in on multiple settings to see drops as I'd like to know if any are difficulty specific. I'e been doing 25H and changing to 25N for ones I already have (got caught out in Dragon Soul as you need to do all fights as heroic to do heroic spine/madness). Will try 10s after.

I think after all the kills it's a safe bet that they all drop all difficulties.

I killed Yor'sahj about 10 times on LFR and got nothing. Not conclusive but I doubt LFR drops pets.

I've been collecting data on these new pets to add to our database, namely their idle animations and/or interactions. The latest PTR build is said to have implemented these unique animations, but I've only seen a few so far.

RWLV pets that have animations that I've recorded:

• Discarded Experiment
• Faceless Mindlasher
• Faceless Minion
• Infernal Pyreclaw
• Rattlejaw
• Surger
• Tinytron (no animation, just color-changer)
• Twilight Clutch-Sister (no animation, but supposedly has different colors)

RWLV pets that I haven't seen anything from:

• Cinderweb Recluse
• Corrupted Blood
• Drafty
• Unstable Tendril
• Zephyrian Prince

There are two types of color-changing pets, according to Jeremy Feasel. Color-change on summon, and the other is static color upon loot.

Tinytron is a color change on summon pet. Twilight Clutch-Sister *should* be color change on loot, but was acting up, last I tested.

She was suffering from the same bug as the Wailing Caverns pets, and getting "locked" to her default skin after adding her to the Pet Journal + logging completely out of the game for an extended period of time.

Caging her also presented problems; re-adding a caged Clutch-Sister to the Pet Journal turned her into a color changer on summon for a short a little while. Again, after logging out for an extended period of time she reverts and gets locked to her default skin.

Blazehound and Corrupted Blood are fixed. Was able to use the items I had to learn both and complete the achievement.
