Should I stop farming PVP?

Am I reading this wrong, or is the Dutiful Squire becoming one of the first PVP rewards in BFA? I am facing 4 more prestige levels worth of PVP grinding (ugh) in Legion to get the Squire, but it looks like it will only require Honor Level 5 in BFA? I would gladly wait for the expansion if it means I can stop the grind.

Personally, I do not think you should stop grinding PVP, not entirely at least. My main reasoning is that it's still unclear how quick/easy it'll be to rank up in BFA. Right now, there's a clear path - Tower WQs (with static Honor earned) and/or BGs and Arena if you so desire.

If the Honor earned now carries over into the expansion, you'll have a head start. If the Honor does not carry over at all, and you're pretty far from the next Prestige rank required for the pets, then it might be better to wait.

An update on this :
A Google Doc spreadsheet by Vjaera-Proudmoore was [url=https://us.battle.net/forums/en/wow/topic/20762326323?page=1#post-15]posted on the Bnet Pet Battles forum[/url]. It can help you calculate what your estimated Honor Rank will be in BFA.

Based on the spreadsheet's calculations, what you'll need to have Honor 5 in BFA is listed below. Remember that Honor will be account-wide in BFA and will take into account the amount on all eligible toons.

NOTE: Numbers are probably not exact and are just estimates, so expect some necessary adjustments come launch.

To reach roughly Rank 5 in BFA:

• 1 toon @ Prestige 5, Honor 1+
• 2 to 3 toons @ Prestige 2, Honor 2+ (each)
• 4 toons @ Prestige 2 (each)
• 9 toons @ Prestige 1, Honor 2+ (each)
• 10 toons @ Prestige 1 (each)

As always, things could change and nothing is guaranteed.

For those figures to be true it looks like they are not tracking your honor gains, just calculating you honor from your prestige.
If you gained prestige 1 before 7.2 came out, then you lose about 22k honor going from the above figures.
