I do have a few questions but also trying to address several topics so any relevant & worthwhile response will be so greatly appreciated.

Where are the battle pets collectors on social media?

For example is there anyone who utilizes
Twitch
TikTok
Kick
or any other "live casting" site to promote battle pet collecting or even to just show off their pet collecting skills?

Now I do understand there are some who share a bit of "catching whichever is the latest trend pet" but they are not collectors, but once in a while posters.

Are there no full time battle pet collectors out there who on occasion might do other stuff to take a break from battle pet collecting? *wink*


I am wanting to follow or see anyone who is really into battle pets, I mean really into them.

Not to disparage any but please read the following question for what it is; a question not a critique or diss.

Where do those who LOVE, eat, sleep, dream, etc. battle pets & collecting them go to share this love & madness with others who feel the same way?

These are real inquiries because, at least for me, collecting battle pets & sharing this love with others is the one of the few things I do to pass the time. Looking to find some serious, like-minded collectors like me.

Because... If you are not collecting battle pets, where you aaaaaaaaattttttttt?

Flip Method on Youtube does some great videos about battle pets, and I subsribed to him.

There are no specialty collectors of the level you are looking for. If there were, I would know them.

Apart from Flip Method, DragonsAfterDark and Wonderwez have YouTube and Twitch channels where they cover some of this content, but they are not hardcore collectors who focus specifically on that in the sense you mean, though I just discovered the Wez currently has 1911, and Dragons has 1893 , which is ... really impressive. But they do not focus their content on collecting - they have a broader mix.

Honestly, I don't see how you could make a good channel out of hardcore pet collecting only. What would that look like?

At the moment, you can get up to ... what? about 1400-1500 Unique very simply. Low-hanging fruit. Easy captures or easy drops or relatively cheap purchases at the AH. Is there content in those?

So that leaves 300-500 that will take some time and effort to collect, but while they may take effort, not so many of them have an interesting capture story. Some are quite rare drops, like the Legion Emissaries, but while that makes them rare, it doesn't make the process interesting.

Or are you thinking of an in-depth look at the models, animationms of the pets themselves?

Why don't you start a channel with your own ideas to see who might be interested?

You could also ask for input in the Pet Discords, which are quite active.

Wow Secret Finding and Collections on Discord has an active Designated Battle Pet Collecting channel as well as one for those of us who are avid Mount and Hunter Pet Collectors too.

Two of the content providers mentioned by Gráinne are also members there, Flip Method being very pro active runs a Wow Pet Community on there.

Clearly I have once again missed the mark.
But its fine.

I can chalk it up to we all have different points of view about the Warcraft & what it tries to offer players from all walks of life.

The game is a world which has many facets to provide a means for any player to find entertainment in its content.

I, for one, am so grateful Blizzard added several things outside of "raiding, pvp, mythic+".
I can enjoy watching this side of the game if I want.
Yet after years of trying I, as well as many others, don't or can't find fulfillment and/or comradery in such.

So collecting, dailies, lore content & quest lines makes it still worthwhile to maintain the subscription.

Yes I have thought about setting something up to be able to share my love of collecting but have yet to find any clear & viable tutorial on how to do so.

I come to this website not only to get the latest info but also seeking others who are like minded. I keep getting no feedback or response to make it worthwhile. Its understood that is all on me.

I have tried to connect with the above mentioned groups but have always come across no response other than an automated message with sporadic announcements. So this was clearly not an option for me.
This is not to disparage but to point out just because they are there does not mean they will convey the same level of interest.

I do thank all for the candid responses & suggestions.
Its clear I will just have to keep looking for others & hope from there to keep doing what I love.

I love battle pets.
It can be a joy helping others collect or find battles pet.
Thanks goodness there are so many things which can be used to pass the time in the game.

I'm in a small battle pet group on facebook and on the Warcraft pets discord but that's about it.
