A nice little trick to keep you from losing too many pets is this:
Before you let a pet die due to a mistake you made, or just didn't like the way the battle went, you can use a group healing pet with two damaged pets against Yu'La. Heal them with a group heal, quit, repeat until full health. Yu'la's first move will always be the shield so you can heal up over and over with no fear. This just means you should leave Yu'la last.

Re: If you're having problems with the Tournament
Which pet would you suggest for this?
Re: If you're having problems with the Tournament
Bleat is the strongest spell, with Autumn Breeze / Inspiring Song being a good alternative. The rest are not useful, being weaker or only working on certain creature types. You will, of course, want to have a level 25 pet to be the healer to get the maximum effect.
If you want to see all group heals go to this page and you can click on the spell to see which pets have it:

A good strategy on the end 4 named pets you have to battle is to have the pandaren water spirit and chromius. I cast Geyser then Whirlpool. Then flipped to Chromius and his Howl double damage. I took out 2 of the four with those 2 pets, they hardly had anything left and were stunned..one good nuke from Chromius surge of power and they were dead with hardly any damage done to my pets.
I took out the Xu-Fu and ChiChi both this way =)

You could do this against Chi Chi also, since her first move is always Tranquility.
On another note, the [pet]Blossoming Ancient[/pet] (for Autumn Breeze) is pretty amazing all around, and I highly recommend picking one up.
He's an even better tank than the Anubisath, and I use him when leveling off trainers all the time. He just goes and goes and goes.

Seriously genius type work here. Thanks will definately try this tonight when I get home.
Re: If you're having problems with the Tournament
Works against Zao (1st turn "charge") and Chi-Chi (1st turn Tranq) as well, so don't feel too trapped by which celestial you try to kill first, second, or even third. Whatever gets it done!
