Bummer day Finally got the quest For The Birds done, then waited till the turnin NPC was up and got the Everbloom Peachick. But when I click on it, it says "The spell is not available to you". /cry

That's a bug and it should be fixed by now or in the near future.

Update to The Beakinator encounter at the Menagerie (previous post 1, post 2):
[ability]Heartbroken[/ability] was replaced with [ability]Touch of Animus[/ability]. Beakinator does't always use Touch of Animus on cooldown, so you'll have to do a bit of guessing if you want to try and dodge it.
This doesn't change the fight too much; instead of not hitting Beakinator while it has Heartbroken up, avoid being hit while Touch of Animus is on your pet instead.
Again, most pets that have Magic attacks and aren't from the Aquatic or Beast family should do ok against The Beakinator.

Got confirmation from Muffinus on Twitter that they are lowering the 1k requirement for the level 3 Menagerie. This is entirely well reasoned, as I've easily gotten a level 3 Barn/Stables/Herb Garden/Fishing Shack and was no where near the 1k required (~80hours of wild battles) for the level 3 menagerie.
For a side/mini game where only a tiny percentage of the population plays it to it's breadth, this is a good, solid change to open it up for everyone. I'm one of those people who'd have done whatever was required - but being as pet battles aren't even remotely related to the game and is more a stand-alone, there is no reason to gate a level 3 menagerie behind such a unscalable wall. I am glad they see this as a good change for everyone. We want *MORE* players playing with us, not less!

Re: WoD pet news speculation and datamined
Has anyone yet got the Soul of the Forge pet from blacksmithing in the beta, and if so could you tell what breed it is, and more importantly, what its lvl 25 rare stats look like? That is one of the pets I am most looking forward to in warlords as it looks really strong, just hoping it wont get ruined by sucky breed. H/P or P/P would be ideal breeds to it imo.

I'm going to wager that the profession pets will come in different breeds. How many, I couldn't say at this point (still working on crafting another one).Klaital wrote:Has anyone yet got the Soul of the Forge pet from blacksmithing in the beta, and if so could you tell what breed it is, and more importantly, what its lvl 25 rare stats look like? Mine on beta has the following stats at 25 (rare quality):
- 1831 Health, 265 Power, 227 Speed.

Re: WoD pet news speculation and datamined
That is almost certainly H/H with over 1800 health. I sure hope its not the only breed available as I would really like that in either H/P or P/P, then it would be awesome tank with Sulfuras Smash, Stoneskin, and Reforge.Quintessence wrote:I'm going to wager that the profession pets will come in different breeds. HP. It has odd base stats. If there's an HH it'll have 2009 health.Quintessence wrote:

Re: WoD pet news speculation and datamined
Thats some heavily stacked to health base stats... I really hope it comes in P/P then, as that would be awesome since it would still have quite high health thanks to its base stats, and with higher power it would be lot more effective.Poofah wrote:HP. Re: WoD pet news speculation and datamined
I made 2, both are 1831 H, 265 P, 227 S at level 25.
Re: WoD pet news speculation and datamined
I guess it only comes in that one breed then, probably wont be too good then as thats way too low power for it to do any meaningful damage with sulfuras smash.Grarn wrote:I made 2, both are 1831 H, 265 P, 227 S at level 25.
Re: WoD pet news speculation and datamined
Another question! Are the reputation reward pets from WoD, like the bone wasp, sky fry, and frost worg pup, cageable and thus buyable from the AH? I am hoping they are so I can skip the whole grind for the trading post just for that one pet, as I already need my medium plots for the barn and inn anyway!
Re: WoD pet news speculation and datamined
The Draenei Micro Defender is cageable, that I know. The item that teaches it is unique but once learned you're still able to have 3 of the pet.Klaital wrote:Another question! As Grarn mentioned, the reputation pets are currently cageable, but it's unknown if the reputation requirement will still be necessary to add a caged version to your journal.Klaital wrote:Another question! I'd test this out but all of the rep pets (except for the Frostwolf one, which costs a little less *grumble grumble*) cost 1k gold PLUS 2k Apexis Crystals. I'm no where near 2k crystals atm, so I can't buy the pets to try out.
I don't mind spending the gold, but crystals? Another grind to undertake for the pets. >_<

You'll only have to grind out 500 pet battles in Draenor now, instead of the original 1k.Quaras wrote:Yay and phew. What level are they setting it to?

Re: WoD pet news speculation and datamined
Yay for that. Though we're still going to eventually grind out the 2000 battles for the garrison pet monument/achievement! Though I'll just wait 'til an easy garrison boss and spam that 2k times ><Quintessence wrote:You'll only have to grind out 500 pet battles in Draenor now, instead of the original 1k.Quaras wrote:Yay and phew. Is the Iron Starlette cageable? And what breed is it, if anyone knows?
Would also like to know the breed of Stormwing.

Yes cageable. Someone else will need to answer about its breed.Luciandk wrote:Is the Iron Starlette cageable? And what breed is it, if anyone knows?

As for Stormwing, I have 3 on beta (due to a previous bug) and they're two different breeds. I mentioned this to LeCraft on Twitter since I'm not sure if an achievement pet coming in multiple breeds is intended, but never got a response. We'll see what happens once it goes live.
Stormwing 1 (level 1, rare quality)
- 155 Health, 11 Power, 11 Speed
- 155 Health, 12 Power, 11 Speed
