6.0 Pre-WoD Pets

Do we need to have purchased the expansion for the pre-expansion content to be accessible tomorrow? Just wondering if I need to put it on a credit card or if I can wait for my paycheck.

Patch 6.0 content should be available to you even if you haven't purchased WoD yet, but someone please correct me if I'm wrong!

In all the past pre-expansion patches you've gotten access to everything with out having to pre-order the expansion. I know I did all the Wrath pre-expansion stuff with out pre-ordering it. I haven't seen blizzard specifically state this anywhere but I'd be extremely surprised if that didn't continue to be the case.

Does anyone know more about the whelp? I"m wondering if it is something a group must roll on, or if it's individual loot? Also wondering if i will be available to farm after the expansion, or if these mobs are only there until 11/13?? Anyone know>

I would expect the whelp to be exactly like all the other world drop whelplings out there, white quality item so it likely goes to whoevers loot that corpse was, that teaches you the rare quality pet.

The Bronze Whelpling is like any other whelpling world drop. It drops off of the Ironmarch orcs in Blasted Lands, and if you're in a group when it drops, I'd imagine you would need to roll for it.

As for the pre-expansion Iron Horde event, *if* it's anything like the pre-Siege of Orgrimmar in-game event, either a small selection of mobs that drop the whelpling will remain somewhere in Blasted Lands after the event is over, or the whelpling will be relocated to a different source. We'll have to wait and see what happens, though.

Hopefully if the bronze drake is only for the pre-patch event the drop rate won't be horrible. I really want that one, and you know a lot of people are going to be in the zone for the pre-patch event.

The pet from revamped UBRS is only available in heroic mode. We'll have to wait until WoD is released and we're level 100. On the plus side, it's a 100% drop rate!

I just got the Bronze Whelpling!!! Been farming maybe close to an hour. It is RARE so you get a dice roll if in a group and its called "Time-Locked Box!" I got the power breed.

I haven't really been keeping up with pet news during the past few months. Wasn't there a pet (the carrot?) that was suppose to drop from Valley of the Four Winds? Not sure if they changed how to obtain it or not. If not, is that available now or is that suppose to be after WoD drops?
